Legacy Gift -Stromner Bequest

Many of you know that in 1999 North Isanti was given a large legacy gift – The Stromner Bequest – with a restriction that the principle amount could not be spent for 20 years. The 20 year time period is over. In July of this year, the $240,000 value of this gift will be available and we now have the opportunity to decide the most God-honoring way to use this money.

Since this Legacy Gift was given to North, it seems appropriate that all of the North family should be involved in generating the possible ways we might use this gift for ministry. On Sunday, March 31 at 4:30 p.m. there will be a church-wide conversation and discussion about turning this gift into real ministry. Everyone that attends North is invited to pray earnestly seeking God’s wisdom. Come to the meeting prepared to share what God has shown you about how He would want us to invest this gift.

Some people do better writing things down. If that is you, we encourage you write down your thoughts and ideas along with any explanation you feel is necessary. Then send your written thoughts to Diane in the church office (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by March 28th so she can compile them for the meeting. If you do better talking than writing, be ready to share your ideas verbally at the meeting.

If you would like to attend the meeting but have young children needing childcare, you may request childcare at mynibc.com and we'll arrange for it at the church.

This is a unique opportunity rarely offered to a church family, to be involved in the stewardship of a sizeable gift and see it directed in ways that are vital to connecting people to Jesus. Our abiding passion is to see Jesus loved, served and shared. May our time together reflect that passion!
